How did The End Times go from a theological obsession to a multi-million dollar business? Jeff and Kristin explore the rise of Rapture media and its impact on the Evangelical public.
Just wanted to say hi and let you know how much I have been fascinated by your podcast. I was raised in a GARB (General Association of Regular Baptist) church and attended its private school from K-12th grade. I began to deconstruct in college and currently in my 40s would not consider myself religious, although I can't quite ditch the idea of God. It's been so interesting hearing your deep dives on the topics you've covered. Of course the conversation about apocalyptic narratives was great - I wanted to add that in MY household growing up, The Smurfs were a big no no, but watching Cheers and MASH as a family after dinner was fine, which does seem a bit of an eyeroll looking back.... anyway, thanks for all you do and I'm excited to keep listening!
