This seems like an appropriate place to ask if there are any plans to cover the huge rightwards shift of Catholicism in the US - effectively, how Catholics became part of the white Christian mainstream rather than immigrants first and foremost? I'm in the UK and Catholicism is still massively associated with working-class areas and immigrants. US Catholic bishops are also noticeably ultra-conservative, and culturally there seems to be a lot of assimilation with Evangelical wider culture. There seems to be an obvious connection to Irish and Italian Catholics being seen as white now.
...started episode 2 and you started talking about that stuff! Although I would also add that there is a lot of conservative Catholicism in key Midwestern swing states like Wisconsin and many also have that German/European heritage thing that was mentioned wrt Anabaptists.
